The Golfer Leo
     for Leonardo J. Salazar

The Golfer Leo, I’ve played with him,
With my son Daniel and Leo’s brother Jim.
Leo’d hit it to the left then he’d shank it to the right,
Then dribble it up the middle, the ball was always in sight.

And over water his ball flew like a wounded duck,
Splash down in the middle, he had no luck.
Then Leo’d hit it in the bushes and we’d search forever,
Minutes on end, it took forever.

And finally on the green, Leo’d put it in the hole,
This was after all the ultimate goal.
And Dan with the scorecard: “Tio Leo, what would your score be?”
Leo would look up and say: “Well Dan, I got a THREE.”

Almost!
