Typical Hollywood rip-off, the kind that doesn’t warrant much more than a one-sentence review like this; it’s not boring, but I wouldn’t bother with it if I were you; go get the Criterion Collection DVD of Kurosawa’s incomparable Seven Samurai and watch it instead; then watch it again with the audio commentary track on while you practice eating sashimi and sushi with chopsticks.
