The Entrance of Shirley Into Paradise, a painting by Donald Roller Wilson

THE ENTRANCE OF SHIRLEY INTO PARADISE

THE BAG OF GROCERIES ON THE CHAIR DID SPOIL AND DRIFT AWAY;
DRIFTED TO A PLACE WE CANNOT SEE
THE PARTS MOVED FASTER AS THEY LEFT AND SPREAD INTO A MIST;
SPREAD INTO A PLACE WHERE WE WILL BE
AND WITH THOSE PARTS RESUMMONED BY A CALL HE SURELY PLACED,
(CALLED FROM RESTING TO BE BORN ONCE MORE)
THE FORM OF SHIRLEY—DRESSED THE SAME—BEGAN TO MOVE IN SPACE;
ALONG WITH PEPPERS, TOWARD AN OPEN DOOR
